Funded activities for children with disabilities

We now offer funded multi-activity days for children and young people (7 – 18yrs) with disabilities as part of the “Aiming high for disabled children” programme.

The shorts breaks will offer children and young people a chance to try out a variety of exciting challenges which could include abseiling, canoeing, archery, bush craft and a range of other activities whilst also developing new friendships, take part in new experiences and to have fun doing positive activities.

Depending on the individual support needs, visitors can take part in BF Adventure’s mainstream holiday activities, have fun in peer groups or enjoy a day out with their family,

In some cases subsidies can also be provided for transport, lunch, child care and specialised support staff.

For more information, please get in touch.

If you know anyone who would benefit from these programmes please visit www.bfadventure.org to see the criteria for eligliability and to download a referral form.

Free capoeira taster @ BF Adventure

Jinga is holding a free taster day (followed by a 6 week course) of Capoeira at BF Adventure’s Goodygrane Activity Centre (near Penryn).

The taster day will be held on 22nd July from 10am – 2pm and is free for young people who are:

- aged 16-25
- unemployed or ‘not economically active’
- based in Cornwall &Isle of Silly

Pick ups can be arranged from Falmouth and Helston.

“Jinga 16-25” has received funding from the Community Grants Program, a fund which is designed to help the hard-to-reach unemployed. Strictly speaking, this course is an engagement activity designed to move people onto progression routes such as Freestyle/e2e.

However, young people who are undergoing another LSC-funded course or who have just finished one of these courses might be able to take part .
